Let's bring out the big news first:
Jonah was born yesterday.
He was born on November 13th, 2005 at 8:33 am and weights 6 pounds 12 ounces. Jonah is 19 inches long.
As soon as we get around we will open a section on this web site called "Jonah's Corner", where you
can follow his progress from month to month.
What a month. Alexander turned one as well. We celebrated his one year birthday with Oma and Opa from
Germany. Check out the pictures in his corner. So far he has also adjusted well to Jonah's presence at
home.
Our home is also making progress. The frame is now completed and we are waiting for the electical wires
to be put in. We updated some of the pictures and you are welcome to come back often to check on the
progress yourself.

Another month has passed and Alexander is keeps growing. He started to walk a couple of weeks back
and nothing at home is secure anymore. He now walks from the living room all the way to the bedroom
without having to take a break. It is a lot of fun to play with him. We are trying to take it slow,
however, since the second baby is giving Helena's back a lot of trouble. Six to Seven more weeks and
it will be born. We still can't believe we'll have two of these little wiggle worms at home.
Other than that things are calm. The weather is getting a little cooler and we are spending more time
outside. We went to the Zoo on the weekend and have gone to "Tumbleweed Park" near the apartment a
couple of times. Alexander is enjoying the outdoors. Check out the gallery in his corner.
We are also looking forward for Oma and Opa from Germany to visit. They will arrive on the 19th of
October and Opa will stay for about 2 weeks. Oma will be with us for about 2 months and help with
Alexander and the second baby. It will be a great help as it will be very busy here.
Framing on our house started around the 24th last month. You can take a look at the some updated
pictures in our "Home Building Progress" area. We'll go back next weekend and check up on the progress.
So far things have been slow and we hope that KB picks up some speed in the months to come. We can't
wait to move to a bigger place!

All is well, again. Helena's pre-term labor seems to have stopped for now. We have to go to the doctor's
more often now but that is probably a good thing. Our friend Benda from Palo Alto visited us for couple
of days last week. It was great to have friends come by, even though the apartment gets very crowded.
Grandma will come and visit for about 3 weeks on Tuesday and she will certainly be a good help for Helena
during the day. Alexander is a handful. He is speed crawling and starting to first steps between
pieces of furniture.
We also visited our home site again and this time we had a concrete slab. Not much, but its progress.
The builder says they are behind on the framing by several weeks and can't give us an estimate of when
framing of our house will start. At this point it seems that we will move in Spring of next year. We'll
keep checking and we will post any updates here.
Oma and Opa from Germany will come and visit at the end of October. Opa will stay for a couple of weeks
and Oma will help us with Alexander and the second baby until mid-December. We are really looking
forward to their arrival. Even though we are talking on the phone every week we haven't seen them since
we moved here.

Oh boy, what a hectic time. Time flies and it is time to put an update on our web site. We have
gotten used to the heat in Phoenix and got settled well. We are waiting for our house to be finished
and we'll share some pictures of the (slow) progress here. It will still be some time until we can
move in. However, it is a great feeling to see things seemingly "grow" out of the ground.
We are not sure if we shared this news, yet: Helena is pregnant again. She is in her 28th week and
we just had an episode of pre-term labor - not fun. Now we really can't wait to move into our
new home. The apartment will be too small, but it will have to do for a couple of months. We're
expecting the new baby to be born around mid-November, but with this early labor going on we just
don't know when it is really going to come.
Alexander is still growing and is starting to walk along the furniture. He is 9 3/4 months now and his
corner on this web site needed a few updated pictures. We have also started to explore the surroundings
of our new home. Follow the links below and enjoy.

We have completed our move to the Phoenix area. There are still some boxes in our living room
but we are quickly getting settled. Alexander is happy with his own room and we are also
slowly adjusting to the heat - check out the new weather icon on the right.
We have high speed Internet at home, however, Qwest blocks pretty much everything going in so
janausch.net is now hosted by
www.godaddy.com.
Our email will also be handled through them and should be up and running very soon. You can contact
us at the email addresses listed here.
We are currently living in an apartment, however, our house is being built and we can't wait to
move into our first home. Our new home phone number is 480-963-3589. Feel free to drop us a line
or give us a call when you are in town.

We are relocating to Phoenix, AZ. Although, not completely unexpected, it actually
came quite sudden. Thomas last day at work is the May 9th and we will be loading
our apartment onto a moving truck on the 12th and 13th. This web site will be down
for the time of our move (starting on the 12th) and will be back up as soon as
we have things set up in our new home.
We'll keep you informed.

Things are very well at the Janausch residence and Alexander just keeps growing.
He is just over 5 months old now. Check the most recent picture in "Alexander's Corner".
Now that he is bigger, we take him out as much as we can. The weather has been nice
recently and we have made use of it to go on more of our short walks. We went to the
"Sunnyvale Baylands Park" and "Coyote Hills Regional Park". Both of which are wonderful
destinations for a picnic and an afternoon stroll. The last time we went to the
Sunnyvale Baylands Park Helena was still pregnant; this time we were pushing a
stroller - funny feeling .
We also made another trip to Phoenix, AZ over the Easter weekend, It seems like a
tradition since we did the same trip last year. This year, though, we went with a
slightly different intent. We are going to relocating to Phoenix this summer and did
some serious house browsing (not so say hunting) while we were there. As always, we
will keep you posted on what is going on. In the meantime, enjoy the pictures and
stories below.

Alexander has turned 3 months. Time flies and we are starting to take him out on our
adventures. Yesterday we went to the San Francisco Zoo and it was a blast. Alexander
is still too young to really look at the animals but all the new sights and sounds
intrigued his mind. We have added some of the pictures that we took to our photo
album. Feel free to take a look and follow the link below.
We have also updated "Alexander's Corner". We will now add new pictures of him as he
grows up. For now we will add a new picture every time we celebrate another monthly
birthday. Enjoy and stay in touch.

JANAUSCH.NET - the best place to keep up to date on what we are up to - has arrived.
As you can see in our January 2nd comment, this web site is now hosted on our home server. The machine
is running Linux and serves as our firewall, web server and email server. We only recently registered the
domain name and we are still testing things to make sure that everything really works. Nevertheless, you
can now reach us at the email addresses listed here.

We have also created a page just for Alexander (Alexander's Corner) where we
will regularly report on his progress and all the exciting things that he is up to. At the same time, we
will add photos to our family photo album. Since we haven't been up to a lot
of things, except feed Alexander and get as much sleep as possible ourselves (if possible), the pictures of
him are all taken at home. However, we have started to take him out on excursions, which we love to go on,
and you will soon see Alexander out-and-about.

Congratulations! You have found the new location of our web site.
First the BIG news, however. Our son ALEXANDER was born on November 1, 2004. We couldn't
be happier. He is almost two months now and we were extremely busy. That's mostly why there hasn't
been an update to this site for some time.
Up to this point we 'hosted' this site on an office computer, which made us quite nervous. Anyway,
now it is located on our home server and you are accessing it via our DSL line. Yes, yes, yes ... it
is not as fast as it used to be, however, it will be much easier to update things now and we can be
a little more bold about the things we say and do on these pages.
We are currently adding new things to this web site and in a few weeks we will hopefully have things
slightly more up-to-date. Most importantly, we will have a bunch of ALEXANDER pictures to share with you.
